The #iam movement is an empowerment brand designed to provide women with an opportunity to define themselves … to explain how their environment, experience and the things they have been exposed to – good and bad – have helped them become the person that the world knows.
#iam offers women new experiences, information, and support to help continue their journey to their purpose … to help them continue to define who they are.
Why| “You can’t heal from what you hide.”
Studies have shown that depression and other mental health issues are common among women of color and these issues manifest themselves in negative ways. The manifestations of these problems often time subject women to believing negative things about themselves. #iam seeks to provide women with the support to talk freely about their issues, offer strategies for releasing the shame and guilt associated with the issues and the manifested behaviors, provide tools to identify the root cause of the problem, and to give them an opportunity to define themselves. Through the #iam movement women across the country will be able to state with confidence #iam (insert the seemingly negative attribute) but #iam (insert personal self description and life’s purpose and mission). #iam women will know and understand that being the former doesn't rob you of the latter.
#iam products| The #iam movement will offer the following products to women to help achieve its mission:
- Workshops
- Signature T-shirts
- Signature Bracelets
A portion of the proceeds from all #iam products will be donated to national mental health organizations and Florence Crittenton Services.
studio b public relations firmly believes that being profitable and doing good aren't mutually exclusive. To that end, we created beablesson, the outreach arm of studio b public relations. Beablesson started out as a way for the firm to tout the good works of its clients, but why should they have all the fun? As an agency we are passionate about the community and extremely interested in connecting that passion with our core business - public relations. Through beablesson studio b public relations will offer programs, projects and campaigns that enhance the community. Some will be firm sponsored. Others will allow us to work our core business on behalf of others who are doing good in the community by offering pro bono services. However it comes, studio b will make sure it is being a blessing to those around them ... and we will be profitable in the process.
